I think The Murph hates Pentecostals

Scratch that, Murph likes Pentecostals Amir and Mitch don't. Booooo. And when did the council become consultants? I'm tired of them designing signs and landscaping churches. Other highlights, Bob Macy really dislikes the enviroment. REALLY. He just compared grass to concrete. WTF? But wait, he's vindicated himself by voting for the church. Let them build their stinking church!!!

  1. Caught the willful misconduct accusation and the uncomfortable pause afterward followed shortly by Keffler C-blocking that with the 2+2+1 contract. Does that meet bylaws, good question? but it appears to be.

Macy was out of it not understanding the dif between concrete and soil absorption. I do understand the vague reference that with as much rain as we've been getting, it doesn't matter, but still...

Keyed on Keffler's comment regarding property values @ $100k to have "stayed the same, or not gone up", which is it?

Indian Church, which type? That may make my decision :)

Didn't make popcorn for this one.

  2. Odd piece of property with lots of problems. They really showed lots of deliberation there. Wish they would have shown as much deliberation with the budget.

    2+2+1=2???

  3. The way I understand the 2+2+1 contract from BK's reply is that Keffler was signed to a 2 yr contract "with automatic renewal" for another 2 yr "auto-renewal", and then another 1 yr "AR" with the ability for "whoever" to cancel the contract "I guess" at any point of those renewal dates. He did mention that he is a "right to work employee" which would imply that you do not have "job protection", and can seek employment elsewhere at any time too (barring any non-compete clause that may be binding". What is in question is the "term of service", I am no attorney, even though I have given them enough $'s, to determine if her thoughts were on point.

I think the auto-renewal is the issue.

  4. David (anon), I didn't state that very well. The 2+2+1=5??? was meant as an "are you kidding me??" kind of statement. Was just in in too much of a hurry at the time when I wrote it and, I agree, it looks like me asking what it was rather tham me questioning how 2+2+1 could equal 5. My Bad! :)

  5. As I understand it(not withstanding an official opinion from the City Attorney -which should have been addressed more properly to the Council instead of "Dear Bill" - If Keffler was dismissed tomorrow, he would receive the balance of his two year contract. Would he also receive the amount on the two year and one year extensions, which his contract seems to reflect? Be interesting to get an opinion on that -- Dear Pete: How about one?
