  3. Gary Slagel looks like he's dressed for working in the yard or, perhaps, cleaning his pool. Nice touch, Slag, for a ribbon cutting on a building that is gonna last 30-40 years.

  4. It's a rec center. Maybe he was trying to look recreational.

Destiny I can't see that video on top. Can you post a link?

  6. I think the video in the convenience store is just plane sad. Someone should have driven the man home.

  7. This youtube video is another example of how your blog has been going downhill. I agree with Rose.

  9. Good reply! The video was actually food for thought, and this IS your blog. As far as it going downhill: not even.

  10. The ribbon cutting was 10:00 AM on a Saturday. Some of the City Council and staff wore UT or OU shirts. I think Gary Slagle was wearing a Notre Dame / USC shirt.

My opinion - casual was more appropriate than suits for the occasion, but either way is OK.

And yes, Dennis and Rhea were there, and mentioned during Slagle's statements, and invited up. Also invited up for the ribbon cut were "If you are here ... Pris Hayes ... " and one other name that I don't recall.

A good time was had by all.

  11. When new city buildings are opened it is usual for former council that worked on them to be sent an invitation too for the opening ceremony. That did not happen for all the former council that worked on the project. Some found out and showed up anyway.
