"The Reservation"

Have you guys heard about the latest white guilt controversy surrounding a neighborhood over here on the west side called The Reservation?  Evidently, a whole lot of non-Indians are trying to stick up for their good friends, the Indians, by pushing for the city to rename this subdivision.

As a Native American octoroon, my Indian side is rolling its eyes at you pale skins.

But what do y'all think?

                                                  P.S. This is offensive------------->

...although it kinda explains a lot, too.

  1. No big deal one way or another. But if they want to rename the NA to something non-indian, will they also want to rename each of the streets that are named after indians to some other name?

  2. Not sure. Plus there's the park and the school as well.

    All I know is that they would definitely have to replace $6,000 worth of street sign toppers.

  3. Is this one of those "Cottonwood" stories, or is this for real?

  5. Glad to see you back talking about the issues. Did you get approval from Omar, Murph, or the RC to write about this? Thought they now had "veto" power over your blog content. OK - just kidding. :) I think many of your followers miss the "old" Destiny!
