A Conservative's Take on Richardson, Texas Politics & Other Local Tomfoolery
Woo,hoo - Stewart's back. Wonder where he's gonna run?
I wonder why he's leaving a non-informative website up for two freakin' weeks.
Probably takin' a page from the RC playbook - file 5 minutes to 5 on the last day to file (3/14). It lulls your opponent in to thinking they don't have a contested race. Worked pretty well for the RC last time. Stewart already has strong name recognition, is well-liked in many circles, has already won one council race, and only lost by a razor-thin margin in the last election. I'd say his odds of picking up a seat this time are pretty good, given that one is open and there are several weak first term incumbments. And, I hear, he's neither RC (obviously) or RCA.
Maybe he will go against Omar. That guy is a bad apple.
Let's hope so - the Omar has a lot of personal baggage. Actually, several weak links exist for Dennis to choose from: Solomon (freakin' joke) - place 2; Hartley (no name recognition; Eisemann puppet) - place 5; and, of course, Omar (no comment) - place 7. The questions is where can Dennis WIN the easiest?
