It is not Laura getting Pro Tem that surprises me. It is Townsend. Yet when he said he was running again and Murph and Slag were not, had a weird thought the powers that be would put him at the helm. Msybe there is slight hope to clear some of the shenanigans.
That's how the Coalition works: who is the easiest to control? And the answer would be: Bob Townsend. Hasn't had an original thought in his head since 1973. But he'll do as he's told. And Chucky doesn't want results - and doesn't care if the city continues to go downhill - but just wants somebody who'll do exactly as he's told.
I will bet that Mrs.M. will take a lot of the engagements normally taken by a mayor, and I bet she will do very well. I was not a fan, but her integrity won me over. This also tells me that the coalition does not have the hold they think they have. This is one tough committed lady, and I say that with respect. Richardson just may be on the brink of something really good.
hi Anon at 11:17 AM - you say "This also tells me that the coalition does not have the hold they think they have. "
Let's see, Gary Slag's former Mayor Pro Tem and his hand-picked Place 4 candidate now are in position. I don't see how that indicates any loss of coalition power.
My inside source, "the whisperer" called it right. Only complaint I have, Maczka needed to be at the top, not Townsend.
ReplyDeleteYou're so gaga for her. ;) Is this how gross it is when I talk about Amir?

ReplyDeleteHow'd the vote go down tonight?
